Alzheimer's Greater Los Angeles is the only local full-service, dementia-focused nonprofit with 36 years' experience, 5 locations and 55 staff.
It is with deep sadness that Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles mourns the sudden passing of Trish Vradenburg, passionate advocate for people with Alzheimer’s and their families and co-founder, along with her husband George Vradenburg, of UsAgainstAlzheimer’s. As a former caregiver for her mother, Bea Lerner, Trish knew well the toll this disease takes on families. She marshalled her formidable skills, amazing talent for writing, wit, grace, and generosity of heart …dedicating her later life to increasing Alzheimer’s research funding and ensuring programs and supportive services were championed as well.
The team at Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles was honored to work closely with Trish and UsAgainstAlzheimer’s. As a visionary in the field, Trish made certain we never lost sight of the reason we do this work - to support those living with the disease and their families… while we look forward to a future without Alzheimer’s.
